Is that a mojito??

Shut ....Up....!

Bambi ~Nursery

I've decided to title all blog entries about my "one day baby" as Bambi ~ Something. (I'm really trying to go with the whole hunting /animal theme).

Yesterday, I went to my friend Claire's house to see baby Carter's nursery... It has to be one of the sweetest, most beautiful nurseries I have ever seen. Claire and I have the same motto when it comes to babies... that they should be babies!! Sweet and soft... I take it a bit further and love seeing day gowns on little boys and especially Christening gowns... jeans on babies are just wrong, wrong, wrong!

Moving on. Seeing how I'm NOT having a baby (that in its self is worth another post).. it doesn't mean I can't plan my nursery. I found a Jenny Lind crib in an old house on Tarva Plantation last year (one of the old guest cottages). Turns out it was a family friends... and since they are done with babies... I went ahead and asked if Jacob and I could have it (that might be jumping the gun, but it was just sitting in a storage room!). Some people call them Spindle Beds... I think Spindle Beds have bigger notches and Jenny Lind have smaller notches... who cares.. I just want one. Also in the guest cottage I found two Jenny Lind/Spindle twin beds... I SWIPED BOTH!

Tell me what you think?

One Skinny Deer ~ Week 1

Oh, accountability... here it comes. Welcome to my first official weigh-in! well... kinda. Here's my week back in a short summary:

1. Thursday = Back to Work!! I thought I would be sadder, but after 6 (yes, I've been teaching for six years... who would of thought? I didn't go to college to teach, I had zero experience when I started, and I'm now a cranky teacher who gets upset when you can't remember who won the Civil War... here's a hint... it wasn't the Indians!) it wasn't too bad... i fell right back into my normal routine. I need a routine to function. Okay... back to the point.
A). Breakfast... I didn't have any. I'm not a breakfast person. Buying fruit might be a good start, but its just not something I remember to do or really care to do. Coffee is a food group. Plus, no matter what diet i'm on, I will NEVER give up splenda and creamer. Sorry
B). Lunch: We have a hot line at work (that's a through back reference... remember in school where you had the sandwich line, the hamburger line and the hot food line, those lines still exist). Green beans, mashed potatoes, corn and a roll... can't be beat. How many points or calories are in that?
C). Dinner: Chili... without sour cream, but I did have some corn chips.
D). I'm still slamming diet cokes. Sometimes students bring me diet coke, as a type of offering... its illegal to take them in exchange for a grade/points etc, but its SO HARD NOT TOO!!! (disclaimer: I have never taken gifts in exchange for grades).

Friday: Same routine, but instead of lunch I had some popcorn... Publix light popcorn is 100 calories for the WHOLE bag. And last night i had some Doves, mac/cheese (just a little) and green beans.

So what do I weight now?? 14.9. That's two pounds... probably because I haven't drank any alcohol in 2 days. Also, I have this new app on my Kindle Fire.. My Fitness Pal. It lets me keep track of everything I eat... sadly.. I went over my goal by 16 calories today... guess it was the peppermint bark I ate at Claire's!

Only 21 weeks / 147 days till this:

Victoria's Secret bathing suit
ha! Just kidding

Realisticly, more like this:

And thank the Lord I am not a Duggar!!! Talk about bad tan lines!

I stole this off another blog

I know you all read Two Ellie... I had to steal this... Everything about it makes me happy, especially the old linoleum floors and black and white cabinets. Doesn't it look clean??

New Year = Organization Bonanza

I'm still relishing in the fact that its a new year, and i feel as though when ever I start a new adventure... I need new stuff. New stuff never gets old. I love getting organized, with NEW STUFF!!!! In case Jacob reads this blog (Ha!)... he can see what I want for the next few months... in the words of Teresa Guidice "Happy Wife, Happy Life" (said with a guido accent).

First: I LOVE CALENDERS!!! I get a new one every year... unfortunately, I don't use them as well as I should. Jenna, (I know you're reading this)... I envy your great day planner skills...

everything is so organized and scheduled... I need you to teach me these skills!

I use to have one of these:

But the girls who started the company have stopped... i tried diligently to order more refiles, but the company, I assume, has gone under. SO... I need a new organizer. What I loved about Truly Mom(above) was that it had sticky notes, note pads, it folded up nicely, it made me feel organized when I wasn't.

Now... I need a new organizer, that did what the old one did and thankfully the blog Blueprintbliss posted about this very subject. She blogged about this planner by Erin Condren Life Planners.

It has tabs and SO MUCH MORE!!!! They even have teacher lesson plan books. I'm in LOVE. The teacher planning book is a little juvenile... but I could still use it.

Oh, and they have note books/ and note pads.
Paschal doesn't realize it yet, but I am ordering myself all of this... everything on the webpage.
Even the enclosure cards, the sticky notes, EVERYTHING.

But.. I can't have this fun stuff unless I have a new bag to carry it in. This, is a lot easier said then done. First... it has to have the following requirements:

#1. It has to be large enough to hold my new organizer and lesson plan book, my gradebook and graded papers, pens... you get the picture.

#2. Needs to have pockets on the inside. So it can hold my wallet, keys, pens, etc.

#3. needs to have straps that can go over my shoulder

#4. Needs to be able to hold my lap top.

I still enjoy Vera Bradley. They just have a teacher look to them and whether they are in vogue or not, I still want them.

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year!!! I'm still here... and will try to start back blogging.... because this is a new year, full of new resolutions (ha!) !!!

First... I'm going to try and lose weight... I feel as though when I say that, it sounds like I'm saying "I'm going to run for President" or "I'm going to run a marathon" or "I'm going to climb Mt. Everest" ... absolutely unrealistic... Jacob (I didn't hit him where it hurts on this comment, because its true) laughed when I told him this resolution, because we BOTH know.... me and weight loss is just tiring, unrealistic, depressing (who likes eating like a rabbit, or only having ONE piece of pizza, not this girl) and absolutely annoying. Why can't i just get liposuction, a tummy tuck, and a boob lift??? Why? How is that too much to ask for?? He just went to Colorado for 10 days? Why can't he give me some cosmetic surgery?? Here's why: (these are real quotes, via google)

Lippo: $2,000

Tummy Tuck: (when you type this in google, you know you suggestions of what your typing pop up... the first one is "cost of tummy tuck in Mexico"... I sitll clicked on it, very stetchy information appeared) $3,0o0 - $7,500 (we know, from the looks of it, I'm gonna cost $7,500.)

Boob lift (hell, lets just get all new ones): $5,000 to $10,000... again, I'm sure its gonna be $10,000 on my puppies..

Grand total: $19,500.... and Viola! New me :) A girl can dream right?

Now on to reality: I need some suggestions... I guess I could go back to Weight Watchers, which still charges my debit card every month for a membership, so I should just keep going... or workout (i do like being active, hello.. .i played college tennis and I use to be very agile) or just starve... I've seen it work for people, and I can't judge them, because they look good.

Lets be honest... I need to lose weight if I'm ever going to come to terms with being or getting pregnant... Being depressed the whole time that I'm getting even FATTER is just not how I want to spend 9 months... and realizing that I have to deliver the baby scares the HELL out of me, on top of being Fat.. no thanks... non of that sounds fun.

So here we go... Weight lost starts now :) From this day on, I'm going to post, hopefully several times a week with an update on my weight loss. Now, am I going to tell you my weight ?? HELL NO! I don't' trust a one of you that reads this blog (J/k)... so, I'm going to use random numbers. I'm at a 15 right now... and I want to be at a 5... So every number intereval represents 10 pounds. So, when I go from 15 to 14, I've lost 10 pounds, 15 to 14.5 is 5 pounds. so by the time I get to 5, I've lost 50 pounds? right? or is that 100 pounds?

Enjoy the picture below: I want to shred it into a million pieces... and hopefully can get back to pre- marriage weight, also below :) Its not like I don't have free time, I am the hunting widow, I only see my husband after dark, on days that he doesn't kill something... which isn't often.
